Dan Brown is an American author best known for his Robert Langdon series of novels, which include The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, The Lost Symbol, and Inferno. Brown's books have been translated into 57 languages and sold over 200 million copies worldwide, making him one of the best-selling authors of all time.
Brown was born in Exeter, New Hampshire in 1964 and graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in 1982. He attended Amherst College and graduated in 1986 with a degree in Spanish and English literature.
